Slow Fashion, by Design

We deliberately make less. Each Silkloom scarf and shawl is handwoven to order, which means we don’t overproduce, we don’t hold excess stock, and we don’t contribute to the mountains of unsold clothing that end up in landfill every year.

In a world addicted to fast fashion, we believe the most sustainable garment is one made to last — and loved for a lifetime.

Natural Materials

Silk is one of nature’s most remarkable fibres. It is biodegradable, renewable, and produced without synthetic chemicals. Unlike polyester and other petroleum-based fabrics, silk returns to the earth at the end of its life without leaving microplastics behind.

We use only premium natural silk in our products — no blends, no synthetics.

Ethical Artisan Partnerships

We work directly with weaving communities in Vietnam, bypassing middlemen and ensuring that the people who create our products are paid fairly and treated with dignity.

Our artisan partners work in safe, healthy environments and are compensated well above local industry standards. By choosing Silkloom, you are directly supporting the livelihoods of skilled craftspeople and helping to preserve a centuries-old tradition of silk weaving.

Minimal Packaging

Our packaging is designed to be as beautiful as it is responsible. We use recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible, and we keep packaging minimal — because the product itself is the gift, not the box it comes in.

Carbon-Conscious Shipping

We consolidate orders where possible to reduce the number of shipments and their associated emissions. We are actively exploring carbon offset partnerships to neutralise the footprint of every delivery we make.
